Callow Avenue Bremerton, W A 98312 re: Retaining wall, stairway, driveway section Ms. Hurley: As you will recall, the City has asked that you to obtain approval for the construction of your stairway and driveway in the City's right-of-way and also for the retaining wall in the setback area. I have been informed by the Planning Department that the Special Exception to the zoning ordinance which allows a reconfiguration of the existing retaining wall was approved on May 11 tho The right-of-way encroachment will be approved upon your agreement to the following conditions: 1. Asphalt concrete pavement shall be placed such that the concrete apron is not a hazard to vehicles traveling on North Callow. This will require tapering the sides (north and south) of the apron with asphalt concrete pavement. 2. The retaining wall shall be repaired so that no struts or supports are projecting into the right-of-way. ..:~~~ 3. The stairs shall remain of wood construction and their location s}l;:1,!Lnot be changed. ."';.~~:;.;~- 4. Please contact Mark Souza of the Engineering Department at 478-5270 to discuss these conditions or to make arrangements to obtain the pennit. The retaining wall is now in need of immediate repair. (Effective Date: Nov. 11, 1988) Section 16: MANUFACTURED HOMES' PROVISIONS: A. Manufactured Home Developments Any manufactured home development shall be developed through a Planned Unit Develqpment Process of Chapter VI (of the Zoning Ordinance). B. Non-conforming Manufactured Homes 1. A manufactured home which was legally placed and maintained prior to the date of adoption of this Ordinance, and does not meet the requirements of this Zoning Ordinance, shall be deemed to be a non-conforming structure. 2. If a legal non-conforming manufactured home is partially or wholly destroyed, replaced, or altered, it shall be required to meet the relevant requirements of Chapter IX of this Ordinance relative to n O1-conformi ties. C. Manufactured Home Certification All manufactured homes within the City shall be approved by the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries or the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and have the appropriate insignia affixed to the unit, in accordance with the provisions of RCW 43.22. No manufactured home shall be occupied until after a valid certificate of occupancy has been issued by the City. 2.
