SUMMARY: In September, 2005 the City contracted with Grant Solutions for limited grant writing
services to be performed on a trial basis. Working with the grant writer, staff have identified several
grants and loans to be pursued in 2006. The requested action before Council is amendment to the
existing contract with Grant-Solutions for professional grant writing services.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The amount of the Professional Services
Agreement is increased $30,000 to a not to exceed total of $50,000. The 2006 budget for this work is
included in the Water and Wastewater Funds.

Mayor to finalize and execute the necessary contact documents for the agreement.
