SUMMARY: Staff is proposing amendments to Title 2 BMC relating to the reorganization of certain
offices in order to obtain more efficiency in the provision of administrative services of city
government. The recommended change includes moving Human Resources and the Risk
Management functions into the Financial Services Department; moving Information Tgchnology to
th8 Publi€ 'Ngrks &. TTtilitit'li: Departm@nt; changing the "Director of Human Resources" position to
"Manager of Human Resources" and authorization to move departmental budgets to align with the
organizational change.

FISCAL IMP ACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): No changes to budget expenditures are requested.
Council approval to amend the budget to authorize a change in title for one position and to move
budgets to align with the organizational change is required.

Move to:
1. pass Ordinance No.jq (p f4 amending Title 2 BMC relating to reorganization of certain offices;
and
2. approve amendment of the adopted 2006 budget to move budgets in accordance with the
organizational changes in Ordinance No. ~ and changing the position of Director of Human
Resources to Manager of Human Resources per the attached revised Management Salary Plan 2006.
