The majority of the persons -2- CITY COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES April 10, 1979 Page three present felt that $6.00 per month for a bus p~ss was more than they could afford; but an increase of $1.OO per'mbnth would be all right. Discussio~ was held regarding the cost of the bus system and Commissioner Stewart stated it costs over $50,000.00 a month to operate the bus system in Bremerton; that senior citizen passes bring in about $1,5OQ.OO a month. He suggested that the City find some way to let these people ride the bus for less than $6.00 per month; that he feels bus passes should be continued.
