SUMMARY: The current provisions ofBMC Section 2.16.020 provide that the Fire Chief shall
serve as the Fire Marshall pursuant to the terms of the City Charter. The City Charter was amended to
remove the provisions relating to the Fire Marshall referenced in BMC Section 2.16.020. The
proposed ordinance updates the provisions ofBMC Section 2.16.020 to remove the reference to the
City Charter.
