NOTICE - It is the responsibility of the permit holder, not the City of Bremerton or BUilding Official to see
to it that required inspections are made. The permit holder must notify the Building Official when ready for
inspections. Failure of the permit holder to notify the BUilding Official of required inspections may result
in the stoppage of the work until such time that the permit holder can substantiate to the building official
that the concealed work meets or exceeds code requirements. Any demolition, testing, or financial burden shall
be borne directly by the permit holder. Failure to substantiate code requirements will indemnify the City
against any and all responsibility or liability connected with the construction.

It is our understanding that you are proposing to put a book swappe and espresso at 312
S. Callow Avenue. Based on your proposal, the following is a summary of the major
points discussed at the pre-application meeting held Wednesday, February 19, 2003.
Land Use:
1. No comments.
Building Division:
1. A Type I hood will be required for the grill when installed.
2. Provide Health Department approval.
3. Type II hood will be required for commercial dish washer.
4. Two exits are required for occupancy load of 50 or more.
Engineering Department:
1. No comments.
Cross Connection Control:
1. Size grease trap/interceptor per UPC Appendix H.
2. Reduced pressure backflow assembly is required.
3. Supply menu when applying for permit.
Fire Department:
1. Provide 6" address numbers.
2. No cooking allowed without hood.
3. Provide fIre extinguishers per UFC 10-1.

RE: PLAN REVIEW FOR RUSH'S BOOK SW APPE AND COFFEE
Dear Ms. Rush:
The Kitsap County Health District Food Program has reviewed the plans and specifications, with
respect to the food service operation for Rush's Book Swappe and Coffee, to be located at 312
North Callow Avenue in Bremerton, Washington. In accordance with the Rules and Regulations
of the State Board of Health for Food Service (WAC 246-215) and the Bremerton-Kitsap County
Board of Health. Ordinance 1992-16, the plans are approved.
Rush's Book Swappe and Coffee will be permitted as a Restaurant food service establishment.
Prior to opening for food service or food preparation, a pre-operational inspection of the facility
must.be done. At this time, construction work must be completed and food service equipment
must be installed and operating. Please contact this at least five days in advance of the intended
opening to arrange for the pre-operational inspection.

Dear Ms. Rush:
It is our understanding that you are proposing to put a book swappe and espresso at 312
S. Callow Avenue. Based on your proposal, the following is a summary of the major
points discussed at the pre-application meeting held Wednesday, February 19,2003.
Land Use:
1. No comments.
Building Division:
1. A Type I hood will be required for the grill when installed.
2. Provide Health Department approval.
3. Type II hood will be required for commercial dish washer.
4. Two exits are required for occupancy load of 50 or more.
Engineering Department:
1. No comments.
Cross Connection Control:
1. Size grease trap/interceptor per UPC Appendix H.
2. Reduced pressure backflow assembly is required.
3. Supply menu when applying for pennit.
Fire Depmiment:
1. Provide 6" address numbers.
2. No cooking allowed without hood.
3. Provide fire extinguishers per UFC 10-1.
