SUMMARY: Requests for sealed bids were received at the office of the City Clerk for the City of
Bremerton on January 31, 2006. Two firms bid the project for providing approximately 970 square
yards of new carpet, providing all labor, material and equipment for installing new carpet and the
removal and disposal of the existing carpet at the Gold Mountain ClubhQuse. The low bidder was
Mallory Enterprises Inc. dba Abbey Carpet ofBremerton in the amount of $30,797.87 including sales
tax.
ATTACHMENTS:
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The 2g06 budget for this expenditure was $25,000
in the Gold Mountain Fund and the Capital ImprovementAw'ii1ch is not enough to cover the amount as
indicated in the low bid. A budget adjustment of $6,000 is required for this action.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approve the contract award for carpet installation at the Gold Mountain Golf Complex
Clubhouse to Mallory Enterprises, Inc. dba Abbey Carpet of Bremerton for $30,797.87
including sales tax and authorize the Mayor to execute the contract and to approve the related
budget adjustment in the amount of $6,000.
