SUMMARY: At the first meeting of the Management Salary Advisory Committee held on Friday, January
27, 2006, it was the recommendation of the committee to upgrade the pay band of two (2) positions. The
committee comprised of Cecil McConnell, Brad Gehring, Will Maupin and Nick Wofford recommended that
the positions of Fire Chief and the Director of Financial Services be reassigned to Management Pay Band 22
for internal equity purposes.
ATTACHMENTS: Revised Management Pay Plan with recommended reassignments incorporated.
FISCAL IMP ACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): There are sufficient funds in the miscellaneous
non-departmental set aside to cover the cost of the reassignments.

RECOMMENDED MOTION: Move to approve the reassignment of the Fire Chief and Director of
Financial Services positions to Pay Band 22 of the 2006 Management Pay Plan and to authorize a
budget adjustment from the miscellaneous non-departmental set aside to the appropriate department to
cover the additional cost of the reassignments.
