I have received numerous complaints regarding the structure at
this above address and have subsequently inspected same. After a
review of the Assessor's records, the legal owner is the City of
Bremerton. As custodian of City structures, you are hereby
directed the structure is unsafe and shall be removed within 120
days.
My understanding is the City Street crew can take care of this
for you and I have "slum and blight" money which can be used to
offset the costs, as the structure in questiorr is dangerous and
located in a slum and blight area.
If additional information is needed, please call me at 478-5281.

City Council authorized call for bids for removal or demolition of a
City owned house located at 3101 Burwell Avenue. No bids were received.
There has been continued vandalism and one recorded injury (window glass
cut) arising out of neighborhood children playing on the property. The
City has no use for the building.
Please accept this memo as request for abatement funds in an amount not
to exceed $5,000, to pay for demolition of the building and site resto-
ration by the City Street Department. If funds are available, this re-
quest will be presented to City Council for action.
