Total cost would be $281,302 when tails were purchased IV. Analysis A. Genesis' premium is not competitive B. The $500,000 self.insured retention required by the Insurance Company of the State of Pennsylvania is not acceptable C. CIA W's premium js too high when the cost of tail coverage is il1cluded. This is not offset sufficiently by reduced claim payments. D. Increasing policy limits to $10 million per occurrence is too costly ($76,000 for ACE; $51;000 for Princeton) E. Quotes from Princeton and ACE differ primarily in the aggregate provisions. 1. Princeton has no aggregate. on gene:ral~ law enforcement, or auto liability. $5. million aggregate applies to public officials' liability only. 2. ACE has no aggregate on auto liability, a$5 million aggregate,qn law enforcement, public officials, employment, and products liability, and a $10 million aggregate on general liability. 3. ACE's premium is $18,432 lower than Princeton's premium V. Recommendation - Purchase excess liability insurance from ACE with a $250;000 self-insured retention and a $5 million per occurrence limit.
