SUMMARY: Staff is recommending that the City Council approve the purchase, at the discounted
2004 price, thirteen single assembly street lights for the boardwalk! conference center plaza area at a
cost of $36,751.00 and 8 twin light assemblies at a cost of $43,768.00 for Kitsap County Consolidated
Housing Authority for the Harborside Condominiums and/or other downtown core locations. These 8
assemblies will be paid for by KCCHA.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): This expenditure is part of the expected uses of
the Conference Center Capital Fund money. As of the end of 2005 all remaining unexpended funds
in the Conference Center Capital Fund were transferred to the General Capital Improvement Fund.
The 2006 budget will require amendment to authorize the use of those funds for this expenditure.

RECOMMENDED MOTION: Move to approve the purchase of 21 street lights from Spring City
Electric, eight of which will be billed to Kitsap County Consolidated Housing Authority and to amend
the 2006 budget to authorize this expenditure from the General Capital Improvement Fund.
