SUMMARY FInancial servIces has IdentIfied several areas of potentIal tax recovery that could have
a posItIve ongoIng Impact on future revenue collectIOns A>revIew by Tax Recovery ServIces (TRS)
has revealed several large natIOnal and InternatIonal comparhes that are not currently reportIng oI
paYIng reqmred B&O tax to the CIty SInce TRS has sIgmficant expertIse In thIS area we propose to
contract wIth them to IdentIfy those companIes, audIt theIr records and work wIth them untIl they are
paYIng theIr lawful share of B&O tax to the CIty

FISCAL IMP ACTS (Include Budgeted Amount) Because fees are contIngent on the recovery of
funds, neIther the estImated recovery or associated fees have been Included In the 2005' or 2006
financIal serVIces budget A budget adJustmen,t wIll be presented to counCIl once the recovery amount
and assocIated fees are known
