SUMMARY: The Department of Public Works and Utilities is requesting approval for the purchase
of 506 feet oflarge diameter HDPE pipe from Ferguson Enterprises for the amount of $88,294.20
(including sales tax). The pipe is being purchased by the City so that the Phase 1 ofthe Pacific
Avenue CSO Project can be completed on schedule. Installation of the pipe will be accomplished
under a separate contract in the early part of2006. This contract is part of the City program to reduce
CSO events in compliance with WAC 173-245. The project is in the C.I.P and the debt service for the
loans was included in the rate study.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The purchase of the pipe is funded by a Public
Works Trust Fund Loan, and two State Revolving Fund Loans.

RECOMMENDED MOTION: Move to approve the purchase in the amount of $88,294.20

Mayor to finalize and execute the necessary documents for the purchase.
