SUMMARY: The City has negotiated a Professional Services Agreement with Brown and Caldwell
to provide engineering design services for the Sewage Pump Station CE-6 Modifications project. The
City will be modifying Sewage Pump Station CE-6 and installing a 10" force main along Park
Avenue to reduce combined sewer overflow (CSO) events in the Pacific Avenue Basin. The not-to-
exceed amount of the agreement is $88,624.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The Pump Station CE 6 Upgrade is included in
the 2005 and 2006 budgets, and is funded from a Public Works Trust Fund Loan, and a State
Revolving Fund Loan.

RECOMMENDED MOTION: Move to approve th Professional Services Agreement with Brown
and Caldwell to provide engineering design services for Sewage Pump Station CE-6 2006
Modifications and authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute the necessary contract documents for
the agreement.
