Foundation
Our current plans for the foundation are to replace the three pilings that have
dryrot in them. We would also like to put in a retaining wall in the middle of the house,
as there is crawl space and walk: in basement together without a retaining wall to keep the
dirt in place and the house supported. The wall is planned to be built out of concrete with
rebar infrastructure, and set on five 3" hollow pipe that is rammed down at least 6 ft or to
bedrock. We also plan to finish repairs on the northeast comer of the house where the
previous repairs were unfinished, leaving the shoring 2' from the north edge, which has
held. But we would like to finish the job by jacking up that comer the 1/2" it has dropped
and replacing the rim joist and pilings along that edge. Barring unforeseen and
unpleasant discovery's that may mitigate further repairs, those are our current plans for
the foundation.

Plumbing
Currently, the house has a mixture of galvanized and PVC piping in place for
water usage. As copper piping is the safest way to plumb it is our plan to replace the
current piping with copper piping: Also, we would like to run the piping better than it
has been laid out till now. As we will be redoing the piping we will probably repipe the
vents to a more aesthetic location, though in full code compliance.

Mechanical, Gas and Appliances.
We will be rewiring the house. Despite knob and tube being acceptable, we
would like a more modem electrical distribution system.
We will be putting in a new gas furnace and repairing the ductwork.
It is possible that we will replace the water heater because we don't know if it
works yet.
We will also be installing appliances as the ones there likely do not work.
This includes washer, d~er, stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, and other
necessary appliances.

We desire to repair the insulation problems in the attic and put insulation in the
walls where it currently does not exist. Also to repair insulation problems that may be
. " noticed while working under the house.

Sheetrock
As we have to remove the interior lathe and plaster to correctly install the
insulation we prefer we will be sheetrocking the interior as needed, likely.it will be all
inclusive.

Siding
As the west exterior wall lacks siding we will need to add siding. As sot is
repaired in conjunction with the foundation, framing and windowsills, we will either
patch up the areas that need it or remove the stucco and apply traditional style siding. We
do not have all the necessary information to make that decision at this time.

Windows and doors
As the majority of the widows have been'broken thanks to our neighbors, we will
be installing new vinyl windows, as, the older ones would be substandard and not worth
the time to repair. Since the house is as old as it is, it will likely be necessary to resize
the framing around the windows to meet current dimensions. Some doors will need to
be repaired or replaced.

Currently our house needs a new roof along with everything else. It also needs
correct gutters and downspouts. These are also on our list of things to do. The roof over
the steps to the basement is in obvious need of repair as well.

Applications for which no permit'is issued within 180 days following the date of application shall expire by
limitation, and plans and other data submitted for review may thereafter be returned to the applicant or
destroyed by the building official. The building official may extend the time for action by the applicant for a
period not exceeding 180 days on request by the application showing that circumstances beyond the control
of the applicant have prevented action from being taken. No application shall be extended more than once.
In order to renew action on an application after expiration, the applicant shall resubmit plans and pay a new
plan review fee.
