Box 10247 for Emanual Asp, Bremerton, WA Bainbridge Island, WA 98110 Dear Mr. Haley: The Bremerton Planning, Engineering and Building Departmentls have reviewed the proposed revision to the Asp bulkhead at 1020 Bridgeview, Bremerton, WA. The Engineering Department has discovered an inconsistency. Unless 11m totally mistaken, the proposal as shown on sheets A and B (live taken the liberty to mark the three sheets of your proposal A, Cross Section; B, Plan View; C, Corps of Engineers Submittal) differs significantly with the modified Sheet C. Sheets A and Bshow liOrdinary High Tide" or "Mean High Tide" (11.71) as you state to stop short of the new bulkhead while sheet C shows "Mean Hi gher Hi gh Water" as 11.71 and i ndi cates that thi s tide level win strike the new bulkhead about two-thirds the distance up its face. Recall that the chief concerns of the Planning Department have been that if your proposed work will involve placing fill or bulkhead material below Ordinary High Water (Mean Higher High Water) 11.71 a Shoreline Conditional Use Permit will be required under Bremerton's Shoreline Regulations. Until a more accurate consistent representation of the proposal is 4 presented indicating where the bulkhead is to be placed with respect to Ordinary High Water (MHHW) 11.71 we cannot determine if a Shoreline Permit will be required. In any event a construction permit will be required by the Bremerton Building and/or the Bremerton Engineering Dept. The City Engineer also asks that when you apply for a construction permit that you show rock size and define batter for the wall.
