This request is for development of a 40 ft. dock on Kitsap Lake
and deck to be constructed over a small marshy area on inside
shoreline at 6531 Lake Drive. No correspondence had been re-
ceived. This had been posted and advertised as required by law.
K. Attebery, Planning Director stated a 32 ft. pier with 8 ft.
floating dock at west end of the pier and 25 - 30 ft. triangle
wooden deck to cover odd Jog in the bulkhead at northwest pro-
perty edge is proposed. In.summarizing department reports, Mr.
Attebery stated Engineering and Wastewater findings are that
sanitary sewer line and culvert must be located and protected
during construction and must be accessible for future maintenance.
Summary of staff conclusions; will not adversely interfere with
navigation or recreation, proposed dock is shorter than others
in the area, Joint moorage is unlikely, dock does not exceed 60
ft. limit, will not unreasonably affect other uses allowed, will
not interfere with public use of shorelines, design is compatible
with nearby uses and proposed use is not contrary to intent of
Bremerton Shoreline Plan. Mr. Attebery briefly outlined recom-
mendations as shown on Exhibit "A" attached. B. Amo expressed
concern that construction of the deck might infringe on public
access to the ramp. Mr. Anderson expressed concern as to
whether the marshy inlet is public or private property.

lip to discourage public from entering his property. He stated
this property was platted and it is felt the property line is a

Pat Cary spoke in opposition to the proposal. It was felt by
some that input would be limited and there would be no rebuttal
process. If ~as stated the nine member Council should continue
to hear rezQne issues. There was concern expressed that the
first priority is to complete the zoning map and update the
Bremerton Comprehensive Plan.
