5. Framing, after building is weather-tight and electrical has been inspected and
approved by the Electrical Division of the Department of Labor and Industries.

Every time an inspection is signed off, the permit is automatically extended for another 180
days, so conceivably your permit could be valid for 4 years if you continue to have regular
inspections (1 every 6 months). The homeowner's association at Dockside probably would
not allow you to take this long to finish the house, but that has nothing to do with the
Building Department requirements.
If this permit is issued and you decided to sell the property, you could transfer the permit to
the new owner; however, you are relying on a potential buyer liking the plan you submitted
for permit. If they didn't want to use your plan, the permit is useless; the new owner would
have to resubmit for another permit and you would lose the money you paid for your permit.
