parking positions on their luncheon break, therefore tying
up available spaces from residential use.

074
The YMCA is preparing for final design of its new facility.
The preferred concept is to have the facility share the east
wall of the swimming pool. Approval will allow the YMCA to
save a substantial amount of money and will allow final
design and construction of ~he facility this year.

of interest. City Attorney Bill Broughton presented Staf. f

back for final site plan approval. Mr. Ed Sheldon presented

to serve the public. Mr. Karl Cramer 2820 Rocky Pt. Road,
noted adjoing wall provides convenience and access. It also
provides gymnasium complex. Mr. RandV Robbins, Gig Hatbar
Architect, presented the plan.
Mr. Overson questioned entrance at deep end of pool. Mr.
Robbins indicated it is a good practice not to enter at deep
end. Mr. Bert Gegner asked why didn't this go to the
Planning Commission first and City Attorney Broughton
explained all the various departments involved, Parks,
Planning and Council. This request is for concept only not
site plan. It is the concept only so they can design then
it will go to the Planning Commission. Mr. Don Pratt,
Planning Director, stated that we will require a Special Use
Permit for this project. Planning is looking at land use
only not common wall provisions. Mr. Colvin felt he did not
have enough information to make a decision.
