Whereas the citizens of Bremerton voted for the purchase of this equ!pment in the Fire Bond issue passed in November 1990, the Fire Department is seeking authorization to enter into a purchasing agreement with Sea-Western, inc., for this equipment, Sea-Western, Inc is the sole-source authorized distributor for Washington State. Mr. Dawkins questioned if previous questions posed by Mr. Horning had been addressed? Mr. McKinley noted that previous discussion focused on the Fire Bond issue and was to be addressed at a Council Study Seesion. The Council is not required to purchase everything on the Fire Bond nor are they required to respond within any time limitations. He felt the subject proposal was worthy and should be responded to at this time, but to have a future Study Session to discuss timing, costs, etc - The final reason he brought all this to council's attention was due to fire tower issue. Mr. Waibel stated the Fiscal and Budget Committee had the same concerns and requested the Fire Department to come back after costing out eight items included in the Fire Bond. Mr.Horning noted one of the further questions that came out of the F!re Study was to not purchase all the rolling stock at one time.
