The weekly meeting of the City Council of the City of Bremerton was called to order in the City
Council Chambers, 239 4th Street, Bremerton, Washington, Wednesday, June 9, 2004, at 5:30
P.M., with Council President Daren Nygren presiding. Council members present were Mike
Short, Will Maupin, Carol Arends, Dianne Robinson, Mike Shepherd, Wendy Priest, Cecil
McConnell, and Brad Gehring. Also present were City Attorney Roger Lubovich; City Clerk
Paula Johnston; and Council Assistant Christine Grenier Ellingson.
The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance led by Council Member Cecil McConneil,
followed by the invocation provided by Associate Youth Pastor Jonathon Oleson of Sylvan
Way Baptist Church.
President Ny.qren made the following announcements:
1. The Pre-Council session was held in the Council Conference Room from 5:00 to 5:30 P.M.
CONSENT AGENDA
A. Check numbers 291108 through 291165 and EFT-8230 through EFT-8233 in the
amount of $786,914.49 on the Master Check Register; Regular Payroll in the amount of
$1,189,311.93 for the pay period ending May 31, 2004; and a correction to the Master
Check Register approved on June 2, 2004 in the amount of $1,296,127.46.

With no further business, the meeting of the City Council was adjourned at 5:36 P.M. The
Council reconvened in the Council Conference Room for a Legislative Review Committee
meeting to hear presentations on future agenda items.
