CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
Wednesday, August 25, 2004
The weekly meeting of the City Council of the City of Bremerton was called to order in the City
Council Chambers, 239 4th Street, Bremerton, Washington, Wednesday, August 25, 2004, at 5:30
P.M., with Council President Daren Nygren presiding. Council members present were Mike Short,
Will Maupin, Carol Arends, Dianne Robinson, Mike Shepherd, Wendy Priest, Cecil McConnell, and
Brad Gehring. Also present were City Attorney Roger Lubovich; City Clerk Paula Johnston; and
Council Assistant Christine Grenier Ellingson.
The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance led by Council Member Cecil McConnell, followed
by the invocation provided by Pastor Danny Allen of Grace Pentacostal Church.
President Ny,qren made the following announcements:
1. A Pre-Council session was held in the Council Conference Room from 5:00 to 5:30 P.M.; and
2. A LEGISLATIVE REVIEW SESSION will be held immediately following the Council Meeting in the
Council Conference Room. This meeting is also open to the public.
CONSENT AGENDA
A. Check numbers 293078 through 293463; EFT-6384; EFT-6385; EFT-6387 through EFT-
6389; and EFT-6391 through EFT-6394 in the amount of $1,995,295.32; and Regular Payroll
for the pay period ending August 15, 2004 in the amount of $629,708.64 (#AB04-170)
B. Minutes of Meeting - August 18, 2004 (#AB04-171)

Voted in favor of the Motion: Gehring, McConneil, Priest, Robinson, Arends, Maupin, Short, Nygren
Abstained: Shepherd
Motion carried: 8-Yes; 1-Abstention
With no further business, the meeting of the City Council was adjourned at 5:33 P.M. The Council
reconvened in the Council Conference Room to hold a LEGISLATIVE REVIEW SESSION which would
include presentations on upcoming agenda items.
