Minutes September 17, 2003 Page 3 of 4 Allen Shute expressed his opinion that this contract should go out to public bid. Mr. Sampley agreed that if this was a new pit, there would be a formal bid process. He further explained that these are the highest rates in the area right now, and pointed out that there is a clause in the contract which allows the City to cancel the contract with a 90-day notice. #0852 M/S/C/U (Maupin/Short) Move to approve the Lease to Remove Gravel between the C~TY OF BREMERTON and PORT ORCHARD SAND AND GRAVEL, and authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute the agreement. 8B - FY 2003 U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT BLOCK GRANT {LLEBG) {#AB03-178): Tim Sholtis, Police Department, announced that the Department of Justice awarded the City of Bremerton $57,323.00 through the LLEBG formula program.
