Regular m~,~eting of the City Council Called to order by IJ~yor J.O.Baer at 8.00 o'clock
p.m. present; all ~embers of the council also City Engineer,Treasurer and Attorney.
~inutes of previous session read and corrected to show warrant of Bremerton news hmd
been ~pproved by Finance co~nnittee ~d ordered paid; minutes were then approved.
Letter read from F.J.~olsom applying for position as inspector on L.I.D. ~iled.
Letter read fro~ City Treasurer, calling attention to the urgent need of a property
index for L.I.D. asse~sments and on mo~ion of Ward ~d ~ord the letter wms ordered
filed and Ci~y Engineer and Trems~er ins~ruc$ed to get up ~ index mt the least exp-
ense possible expense.
Petition was read from T. I,,I. Go.an and other property owners on Fourth Street bet-
ween ?~ashington and Pacific requesting that said block be excluded from the District.
~ ~il Jo~son spoke in favor of the petition and agains~ any ~provement in said
block ezcept repairs, after considerable discussion the matter was referred to con~ittee~
of ~he whole for investigation.

Letter read from City ~gineer,submit~ing pl~s,spec~fications,profile and estimate
for the improvement of ~ourth Street ~mder ordinance ~521,and requesting that the record
show that plm~s had been prepared according to instructions and did not meet with his
approval ~s ~n ~ginoer.

approved and that his objections be sho~ on ~he minutes, carried, on roll call as foll-

(I~r Reeves explained his vote by stating tha~ he was of the s~e opinion as the ~ginee~
and believed that Concrete c~bs and ~tters should be used.
One of the horses belonging to the City ~s reported sick or crippled ~d on motion
of ~.IcGillivray and ~ord co~ittee was inst~cted to get Veternartan at once.

~Jemetery co~mittee reported that it had been arranged to charge Tho Spm~h-J~erican

;,~' M~il Johnson complained about certain dry closets which should be connected with
City sewer m~d on motion of ]'lorth and ~.[c~]lothlen the complaint was referred to tho
~[o~th ~d Sanitation oo~:~:~ittee~ ~nd City ~ttorney.
~ity ~ttorney asked for instructions with reference to lease of i.h'~in Hefner ~nd
after some discussion the ~tter w~s referred to the City Attorney and .M~arf co~umittee.
].ir ~Yorth Jhair~n~n of Street and alley co~aittee reco~nended that a sea w~ll be built
at th~ foot of 2a~k .lvenue and on motion of Yard ~nd Ford the City Engineer w~s instruct,
od to px'efare plans.

and on motion of l.lo~illivray and ,~orth request w~s granted.
