SUMMARY: The proposed agreement provides for multi agency law enforcement personnel to
participate in a task force in order to target, apprehend and prosecute individuals guilty of traffic
infractions and offences, in particular, individuals guilty of driving under the influence, occupant
protection and underage drinking.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): Sufficient funds have been allocated in the 2005
Police budget to fund this agreement

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
I move to approve the proposed Traffic Safety Task Force Mutual Aid Agreement and Interlocal
Agreement and authorize the Mayor to execute same with substantially the same terms and conditions
as presented.
