SUMMARY: Call for bids was prepared, advertised, distributed and received in accordance with city
bid procedures. Only one (1) bid was received. The bidder is H.D. Fowler Company, Bremerton, Wa.
The City of Bremerton uses this company for purchasing of inventory and has proven to be a
responsible, reliable and cooperative company.
ATTACHMENTS: Bid proposal and bid tabulation form.
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): Public Works & Utilities would have to purchase
ductile iron pipe in smaller quantities and would not receive the cost benefits we will get from
approval of this contract. Budgeted amount is included in office and operating supply of $100,000.00
