SUMMARY: The current provisions of Ch. 3.86 BMC relating to apportionment of taxes of multiple
taxing jurisdictions are vague. Additionally, the current definition of "gross income" in Ch. 3.50
BMC is not consistent with the Washington Administrative Code definition and that chapter needs
further clarification as to when the tax imposed is due. The proposed ordinance clarifies the
provisions of Ch. 3.86 relating to apportionment of taxes and further updates Ch. 3.50 to update the
definition of "gross income" and clarify when the tax is due.
