SUMMARY: In order to fund the development of the Bremerton Skatepark, we wish to apply to the
Interagency Committee for Outdoor Recreation (IAC) for a WWRP (Washington Wildlife &
Recreation Program) grant. The total development for the park portion of the project is estimated to
be $ 300,945. The IAC grant request will be for $147,000. The match (balance of trading) will be
coming from donations and other grants. There is already a commitment of $25,000 from the Central
Lions Charitable Foundation, a $20,000 C.D.B.G. grant for design, a $75,000 CD.B.G gram for
construction, $25,000 from Kitsap County, and a commitment from BSSU to raise funds in the order
orS10,000. We are also in the process of applying for additional funding for this project.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): If the grant and donations solicitations are
successful, there will be no capital impact directly on the budget. IfIAC funds are not received, the
project will be delayed until other matching funds are found.
