SUMMARY: A call for bids was issued and three bids were received for the construction of
Bremerton Fire Station #1. The Engineer's Estimate for the base bid is $2,932,000. The low
responsive base bid was received from Shinstine/Assoc., L.L.C. in the amount of $2, 640,000 plus
sales tax. It is recommended that the bid be awarded to Shinstine/Assoc., L.L.C.for Construction of
Fire Station #1 plus bid alternates A-1 (8th Strueglor~pairs for 12,000), A-2 (ornamemal fencing for
$12',000), A-3 (80-mil roof membrane for $17,~0), and A-4 (drill tower and staircase for 78,000) for
a tgtal bid amount of $;h2-$gCgg~lus $227,2? a. sales tax for a total amount of SgsgO6r3-7~.
