SUMMARY: Pursuant to Ch. 19.27 RCW, the 2003 edition of the International Fire Code, as
adopted by the State of Washington, applies to all cities, including the City of Bremerton, effective
July 1, 2004. The proposed ordinance amends the Bremerton Municipal Code to repeal the Uniform
Fire Code and adopt the International Fire Code with local amendments, and makes other
housekeeping amendments to reference the International Fire Code.
