SUMMARY: The City of Seattle is attempting to put together a coalition of cities to lobby the
legislature regarding increased transportation funding. The effort will involve an appeal for both
additional state dollars and pass-through federal funding for cities. In addition, this coalition will look
to the Governor and the legislature for new local options for transportation funding. This would
include specific authority to develop and operate a street utility.

Governor, our local state legislative delegation (both House and Senate), other Kitsap County Cities,
and the City of Seattle with a cover letter signed by the Mayor.
