SUMMARY: The City has negotiated a Professional Services Agreement with GeoEngineers, a
geotechnical engineering consultant, to perform a stability analysis for both the NAD Park and the
entrance to the Watershed. Both locations have instability which appear to be jeopardizing existing
City utilities. The requested action before Council is approval ora Professional Services Agreement
with GeoEngineers to evaluate the ground stability at both locations, and recommend alternatives for
stabilizing the sites.
ATTACHMENTS: 1.) Exhibit A-Council Summary; 2.) Professional Service Agreement
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The mount of the professional services
agreement is not to exceed $38,315.00. The project is funded by a combination of a Drinking Water
State Revolving Fund Loan and Rates. The project is included in the 2004 Budget.

RECOMMENDED MOTION: Move to approve a Professional Services Agreement with
GeoEngineers to perform a stability analysis for the NAD Park and the McKenna Falls watershed
entrance and authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute the necessary contract documents for the
agreement.
