Call for bids was prepared, advertised, distributed and received in accordance with City bid procedures. Three
(3) bids were received. The low bidder is H.D. Fowler Company, Bremerton, WA~ This company has won the bid
award for ductile piping the previous two years and the City of Bremerton uses them for purchasing of inventory. They
have proven to be a respomible, reliable and cooperative company.
8. RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council approve the low bid of H.D Fowler Company and authorize the Mayor to execute the
contract for purchase of ductile iron pipe, subject to City administrative policies and procedures.

Public Works & Utilities would have to purchase ductile iron pipe in smaller quantities and would not receive
the cost benefits we will get fi.om approval of this contract.
