4. SUMMARYSTATEMENT AND REQUIREMENT FOR COUNCIL ACTION:
Attached is a contract proposal to purchase a 2003 ambubnce from Braun Northwest, Inc. There are
currently three Braun ambulances in the fleet, this one will replace the 1992 Road Rescue unt that will be
surplused this year. The City of Bremerton has h effect an Intergovernmental Purchasing Agreement
has allowed us to purchase off the CentraIPierce Fire & Rescue District # 15 bid.
That the Bremerton City Council authorize the Mayor to sign and enter hto the contract proposalwith
Braun Northwest, Inc. for the purchase of a 2003 ambu~nce.

There would be a delay in the process of procurhg a replacement Paramedic ambulance. The 1992
ambulance that this vehicle is replacing will be surptused in 2003 and laaves the Department wi[h only one
reserve vehicle.

The revenue for the purchase of thi~ vehicle is in the 2003 budget.
