4. SUMMP~RY STATEMENT AND REQUIREMENT FOR COUNCIL ACTION:
A moratorium is currently in effect relating to wireless communications facilities. The moratorium will expire
at midnight on January 23, 2003. Staff is requesting a six (6) month renewal of the moratorium in order to
allow sufficient time to gather information, complete analysis and determine what, if any, reasonable
regulations are necessary. A public hearing is required to consider renewing the moratorium.
