SUMMARY: The City issued an RFQ for Civil Engineer services for the Fire Station Headquarters
and Police/Court Facility. We received 12 applications and interviewed three firms. The fima of
Berger/Abam was unanimously selected by the interview team based upon their qualifications and
experience. It was determined that there is an increased efficiency and direct value to the city using
the same firm for both projects. The scope of services and fees are shown as contract Exhibit "A" Fire
Station Headquarters and Exhibit "B" Police/Court Faclity.

RECOMMENDED MOTION: Mouon to approve the Professional Services Agreement with
Berger/Abam in the amountof $~J.,l~lto provide Civil Engineering services for the Fire Station
Headquarters and Police/Court Facility projects and authorize the mayor to sign in substantially the
same form as presented.
