SUMMARY: The Six Year Transportation Improvement Plan is prepared pursuant to RCW
35.77.010 and RCW 36.81.121. The Plan is updated annually and filed with the Secretary of
Transportation, Local Programs Office. It is intended as a planning tool for the local, State and
Federal transportation funding entities. The attached plan has been prepared for City Council
approval by Resolution and will be submitted to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The 2004 - 2009 Six Year Transportation
Improvement Plan is a planning tool that is implemented through the annual Capital Improvement
Program.

RECOMMENDED MOTION: I move to approve Resolution No..~{~q&o , which approves the
City's 2004 - 2009 Six Year Transportation Improvement Plan, and direct the Mayor to forward the
Resolution and Plan to the Department of Transportation, Local Programs Office.
