SUMMARY: The City initiated the vacation of the southerly six feet of East 31st Street between
Olympus Drive and Saunders Avenue. This date has been scheduled for a public hearing in
accordance with state law and the Bremerton Municipal Code for first reading on the proposed
ordinance vacating the subject property. The vacated area will be incorporated into the abutting City
owned property to provide adequate area for fire station expansion. This is a Class I right-of-way and
compensation is not required in accordance with BMC 11.20.080.
