Casad Dam and the water system Utilities

SUMMARY: The City's water utility has a federal requirement to perform a vulnerability assessment
of the dam and other water system components. Athough the majority of the assessment is being
performed in-house, an outside exper~ is needed to provide specific security evaluations. Acres is
currently performing work for the City on dam projects and has the expertise needed to perform these
evaluations. This work was anticipated and funds were budgeted for the Water Resources Division
of the Public Works and Utilities Department. An additional task to design a chainfall for the Casad
Dam valve project was also added at a cost of $1,800. The total cost of this amendment is $37,930.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): This work was anticipated and funds were
budgeted for the Water Resources Division of the Public Works and Utilities Department. The total
cost of this amendment is $37,930.

RECOMMENDED MOTION: It is reccomended that City Council approve Amendment Number 3
to the professional services agreement with Acres International and authorize the Mayor to sign,
subject to City adminiarative policies and procedures.
