SUMMARY: At the request of the Council, the Depatttnent of Community Development has
conducted a citizen process leading to the development of a draft ordinance adding a new section
21.02.335 to Bremerton Municipal Code. The new section would add standards for the siting of
wireless telecommunications facilities in the City of Bremerton. Effected facilities include attenna
arrays, equipment enclosures, support towers, and site improvements associated with so-called "cell
phone" services. The proposed ordinance also includes sections discussing removal of abandoned
facilities, permit processes, application submittals, etc.
The proposed ordinance addresses a moritorium that expires on July 23, 2003
The propposed ordinance will be heard before the Planning Commission on June 17, 2003.
