SUMMARY: On April 23, 2003, Public Works secured the fire-damaged building at 2331 Wheaton
Way ulter the owner of record, Lee Goddard failed to do so. The cost of the work, including the
administrative fee, totaled $1,555.75. Council must now decide if the fees axe just and reasonable and
how they should he collected.
ATTACHMENTS: Clerk's Memo, Photographs, Resolution
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The revolving abatement fund would suffer the
deficit of not collecting these funds.

RECOMMENDED MOTION: I move that Council, by Resolution # ~.~q~ order that the fees in
the amount of $1,555.75 incurred for securing the building at 2331 Wheaton Way he collected as
reasonable abatement costs and become a lien against the property.
