SUMMARY: The City of Bremerton's Olympic Course at the Gold Mountain Golf Complex has
been selected by the United Stated Golf Association (U.S.G.A.) to host the 81st Annual U.S. Public
Links Championship in 2006. This prestigious event is one of 13 national events conducted by the
U.S.G.A. In order to formally accept the U.S.G.A.'s invitation to host this event, it is necessary to
enter into the attached agreement.
ATTACHMENTS: Agreement By and Between the United Stated Golf Association (USGA) and the
City of Bremerton.
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): Loss of revenue from the Olympic Course during
the week-long event (7/10/06 through 7/15/06), offset by $10,000 from the U.S.G.A.

RECOMMENDED MOTION: I move to approve and authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute
the Agreement By and Between the United Stated Golf Association (U.S.G.A.) and the City of
Bremerton with substantially the same terms and conditions as contained in the proposed agreement.
