SUMMARY: On February 13, 2003, Public Works secured the house on the property located at
1309 Poindexter Avenue al~er it was ordered vacated due to structural failure. The cost of the work
totaled $954.85. Council must now decide if the fees are just and reasonable, and how they should he
collected.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): If the lien or a personal judgment is not approved,
the City's revolving abatemem fund would suffer the deficit of not collecting the funds.

RECOlVIMENDED MOTION: I move that Council, by Resolution # ~.tt~ I , order that the fees in
the amount of $954.85 incurred for securing the structure located at 1309 Poindexter Avenue he
collected as reasonable abatement costs and become a lien against the property.
