4. SUMMARY STATEMENT AND REQUIREMENT FOR COUNCIL ACTION:
Sealed bids for construction of the project titled "West 650 Pressure Zone Improvements, Reservoir No. 23" were
opened on April 24, 2003. The engineer's estimate for the project is $1,260,000. ,~ bids were received for

8. RECOMMENDATION:
Move to award a contract in the amount of $ ~ ~o ~O with ~f0~'S'~_.

Mayor to execute the necessary contract documents for construction.

Construction o£Reservoir 23 will be delayed. This will in turn delay construction of the other projects in the West
650 Pressure Zone, which may cause loss of substantial Federal grant funding of these projects.
