ENDORSEMENT X INFORMATION APPROVED BY COUNCIL PRESIDENT FOR
SUBMITTAL:
The City of Bremerton has received notification from the Department of Housing and Urban Development that
the actual year 2003 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) allocation is $6l 1,000. The City Council
previously approved awarding $550,000 of the funds to activities recommended by the CDBG Citizen's
Advisory Committee. Based on the ratings it is recommended that the Council award $61,000.00 in additional
CDBG fimds as follows: $11,667.00 to the Department of Economic Development for Anderson Cove
Planning, $7,360.18 to Kitsap Sexual Assault Center and $41,972.82 to the Bremerton Public Works
Department for its sidewalk program.
In addition, staff is recommending that $50,000.00 from the CDBG Revolving Loan Program be awarded to
Catholic Community Services to be used for the reopening of the Gateway Child Care Center.

I move to approve the recommendations for the additional CDBG funds as described.
