4. SUMMARY STATEMENT AND REq}UIREMENT FOR COUNCIL ACTION:
The City initiated the vacation of a portion of the alley between 5th and 6th Streets and Pacific and Washington
Avenues. The vacated area will be incorporated into the abutting City owned property to provide a site
compatible for usage for the Bremerton Government Center. This is a Class III right-of-way and compensation is
not required in accordance with BMC 11.20.080. The City Council is being requested to establish a heating date of
May 14, 2003, to consider the proposed vacation. Staff recommends passage of the proposed Resolution.
8. RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council pass Resolution # ~ ~'qO, setting a heating date of May 14, 2003, for vacating a portion of
the alley between 5m and 6m Streets and Pacific and Washington Avenues.

The hearing on the right-of-way vacation will not occur, and the right-of-way will not be considered for vacation.
This will impact use of this site for the Bremerton Government Center.
