4. SUMMARY STAT~NT~/'' t;AND REQUIREMENT FOR COUNCIL ACTION:
The City has contracted with Mr. Jef~ Young since January 1, 2001 to assist City Departments with procuring grants
and low-interest loans to fund various projects. Mr. Young's professional services agreement was extended by letter
for 2002 and it is recommended that these services be continued for 2003. Due to the CPI adjustmem in compensation
for 2003~ £ees for these services now exceed the Administration approval limit; therefore, City Council approval is
required. It is recommended that City Council approve extension of' the attached professional services agreement with
Jeff~y Young £or grant w6ting services adjusted for CPI for the calendar year 2003 in the amount of $20,124.96 plus
approved expenses as set forth therein.
