SUMMARY: An lnterlocal Agreement was entered into on June 16, 1997, between the City and
Kitsap County regarding the design and right-of-way acquisition for the SR 304 Transportation
Improvement Project (TIP). The City anticipates beginning construction of the Missouri Gate Phase
of the SR 304 TIP this year. Charleston Beach Boulevard will be relocated and rebuilt as part of this
phase. Kitsap County has an existing 8 inch sanitary sewer main in Charleston Beach Road which is
approximately 60 years old and in poor condition. The County requests replacement of this sanitary
main, at their expense. It is necessary to amend the Interlocal Agreement to clarify the responsibilities
with reconstruction of the main and payment thereof.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): None, Kitsap County will reimburse the City for
costs associated with the work done by the City.
