SUMMARY:
The Department of Finance is proposing that the City Council authorize the Mayor and Finance
Director to implemem and maintain an internal operating system for the distribution, authorization
and control of credit/purchase cards issued to and for the benefit of the City and used by City
employees and officials. The use of credit/purchase cards is a customary and economical busincss
practice to improve cash management, reduce costs, and increase efficiency in how department's
conduct their daily business.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): No direct budgetary impact. Positive fiscal
benefit through improved internal comrol, accounting and claims processing of City purchases.
