SUMMARY: The current provisions of Chapter 2.05 BMC provide for submission of a job
description and employment contract to Council only upon request of the City Council prior to
confirmation, appointment or provisional appointment to a director's position. The proposed
ordinance removes the language "as requested" and requires submission of a job description and
professional services contract prior to confirmation, appointment or provisional appointment to a
director's position. The ordinance also eliminates the requirement for submission of a job description
and employment contract for provisional appointments.
